HVAC System Troubleshooting/Evaluation/Review
ESI offers as-needed consulting services to an Owner or
Management Company that can range from:
- Troubleshooting of existing HVAC systems for operational problems
- Evaluation of existing HVAC systems for optimum operation
- Evaluation of new HVAC systems for proper selection
|
Extensive field investigation, including field test
measurement, helps ESI identify system operational problems.
If required, ESI develops customized calculations to verify
compatibility of building loads and system capacities. ESI's
findings are often presented to clients in a report format,
specifically written to the intended reading audience. Often,
troubleshooting and evaluating existing systems leads to
development of design packages for system modifications.
Typically included in these design packages are system
operating and calibration procedures, as well as procedures
for field training of maintenance personnel.
When an Owner is considering installation of a new HVAC system,
ESI offers an evaluation of the system based on operation,
cost, installation, and maintenance. If alternative systems
are being considered, ESI can develop a comparative evaluation
to weigh the advantages and disadvantages of alternative
systems. Long-term master planning for a facility's future
growth is another area of system evaluation that ESI offers.
ESI has developed master plans for large medical facilities,
educational facilities, and process facilities. Key areas that
have been included in these master plans are evaluations of
age, condition, and capacity of existing mechanical
infrastructure systems, as well as analyzing the options for
expanding mechanical systems for future facility growth.
As part of our long-term consulting services to management
companies of commercial office buildings, ESI has performed
much tenant design related work. ESI has developed Owner
Construction Standards for tenant fit-up work, and has
reviewed tenant designs performed by other consultants to
ensure compliance with a building's construction standards.
Current clients who have long-term consulting contracts
range from management companies of commercial buildings, major
retail/restaurant complexes, and medical facilities.
