ESI also places high value in providing quality Construction Administration services in support of critical facility projects.  As prime consultant on many infrastructure upgrade projects, we often administer the bid process on the Owner’s behalf. Once the project is awarded to a Contractor, ESI often presides at the construction meetings, typically running the meeting and generating meeting minutes.  We have found that this approach is often more beneficial to the Owner’s interests than Construction meetings run by the Contractor. 

Finally, ESI’s senior engineers participate in all aspects of the project, from design conception, construction meetings, and final punch listing and witnessed commissioning of critical equipment and control sequences.  This is not the standard approach for the Consulting Engineering community, where the Senior Engineers who sell the job, develop the concept, are not involved in the construction administration phase of the project, which is often overseen by less experienced, less qualified staff.
